All American
Nomination awarded by NCA Staff to individuals who show strength in spirit, technique, and leadership. Nominations can take place during every instructional and evaluation session. Nominees will audition and be announced during the Final Awards Ceremony.
Bid to NCA Nationals
Awarded to squads who have exemplified positive qualities as a team. Teams that received this award have been evaluated by their buddy on a list of requirements while at camp. These include positive attitude, have earned a spirit stick and showing good sportsmanship.
Buddy Instructor
NCA Staff member that works one-on-one with your team to ensure their success throughout camp.
Coaches Credentialing
Presented to coaches for their successful completion of the NCA Coaches’ Certification Program, awarded during the Final Awards Ceremony.

Evaluation Ribbons
Superior A team who displays strong technique, leads the crowd well, and performs with no noticeable mistakes. • Excellent A team who displays good technique but had one or two small mistakes. Possibly needs work on perfection of technique. • Outstanding A team who displays the NCA standard of cheering with good timing and precision. Still needs to work on perfecting arm motions, jump techniques, building techniques, and memory.
Fun Day
Let your creative spirit flow! Its time to pick a theme and dress up for a day full of Fun Day activities.
Primetime
One-on-one time with your Buddy Instructor used to polish and perfect camp material and/or other skills that need work. NCA proudly boasts the MOST one-on-one time in the cheerleading industry!
Spirit Dance
This classic is here to stay! Learned on the first day of Camp, this dance is always a favorite. Your team will be able to walk out of Camp and into their first school or game performance with this routine. Even the coaches won’t be able to resist the fun and energy that this dance brings.
Spirit Stick
Presented daily to teams showing the most sincere spirit and enthusiasm for the day; overall cooperation, discipline, and leadership; respect for one another, other teams and for the NCA safety rules.
Top Team Trophies
Game Day Top Team Trophy - Awarded to the teams that exemplify the best overall Game Time ability to motivate the crowd. Teams that win this award will have the opportunity to travel to one of the NCA Special Events. Requirements: Teams will perform a spirited entrance and a crowd response cheer learned at camp using only Game Time level stunts (shoulder sit, shoulder stand, thigh stand, extension prep, extension and awesome). Up to a back handspring may be performed during the entrance or cheer. No basket tosses or twist dismounts. Individuals on the teams that win this award will have the opportunity to travel to one of the NCA Special Events. • Performance Top Team Trophy Awarded to the teams that exemplify the best cheerleading technique, skill incorporation and performance ability. Teams that win this award will have the opportunity to travel to one of the NCA Special Events. Requirements: Teams will perform a spirited entrance and any cheer learned at camp. Teams are encouraged to use stunts/pyramids learned at camp and may incorporate running and/or standing tumbling. Individuals on the teams that win this award will have the opportunity to travel to one of the NCA Special Events.
