Drum Major Camp

TECHNIQUE & PERFORMANCE SKILLS Drum majors have the opportunity to choose their appropriate style and level for technical classes at camp. This focus allows our campers to progress at a comfortable pace with similar-skilled drum majors.

 - Our leadership classes are designed to give drum majors the practical leadership skills necessary to become successful leaders. These daily sessions allow your drum major to interact with group members and practice public speaking in a comfortable forum.

SPECIALTY CLASSES - Our Specialty Class breakout sessions give your drum major the opportunity to focus on specific topics of interest that fit his or her personal needs as a performer, team member and leader.

Our Junior High camp, open exclusively to junior high/middle school students, offers a program designed for the new and experienced drum majors. This three day camp allows students to interact and network with their peers while learning basic technical skills in spinning, marching, and music awareness.
Junior High drum majors are not limited to our Junior High camp and are welcome to attend any high school camp if they wish. (Participants must be at least 12 years of age.)

The foundation of a successful band is an effective group of student leaders. When every leader has skills that enable them to communicate, set goals and evaluate progress, programs flourish. That’s why USA has developed skill and technique-based camps that include all of your student leaders. We offer classes for section leaders, auxiliary captains, drum majors and band council members. Student leaders learn to work together to improve every group in your program. The USA Band Leadership camp stresses the importance of leaders serving the band membership and assisting the director. Send your entire leadership team for a weekend of development and growth. Band Leadership camp is a great way to start off your season positively and with a unified vision!
